IDS Design Weekend with Arren Williams {giveaway}
Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 01:00PM Well this should be fun! The lovely folks at the Interior Design Show have organized a fantabulous prize for the much anticipated IDS11 happening Jan 27-30. Yep, you've got the chance to win an IDS Design Weekend with Arren Williams (errr, yes, that's me!). Along with 2 tix to the Opening Night shindig, you'll get 2 tix to my Arren Williams Up Close & Personal Talk (presented by Graham & Brown and Crown Wallpaper & Fabrics) which also include entry to the show, and 2 swanky nights at the InterContinental Toronto Centre hotel!
Here are all the deets:
To enter for a chance* to win an IDS Design Weekend with Arren Williams (2 IDS Opening Night Tickets, 2 tickets to the Arren Williams Up Close & Personal Talk, and 2 nights stay at the InterContinental Toronto Centre), follow these easy steps:
1. Leave a comment below the contest blog post (please include your email where asked) explaining why you'd like to win, before Monday Jan 24th at 12pm EST.
2. The winner will be chosen by a random number generator and will be announced by email and as an update to this post on the morning of Tuesday Jan 25th at 9am EST. Good Luck!

I'd love to win the IDS Design Weekend with Aren Williams because it would be the perfect staycation surrounded by contemporary design, like-minded individuals and (hopefully) the kick in the pants I need to give my apartment a makeover.
I have recently moved and need all the help I can get to make my new place comfortable. I have a good design sense, but I need help with more of the technical aspects. I could also use a weekend at a swanky hotel! Thanks. zerogrover@gmail.com

As an American designer working alongside a number of Canadians, the opportunity to be exposed to a Canadian outlook of your tenure and calibre would not only be insightful and inspriring but downright fun! Win or not I look forward to meeting you, but would be absolutey thrilled to say I'm on the Arren Williams IDS Design Plan program :)

When it comes to design, I’m great at selecting individual pieces but suck at putting it all together. Maybe your Close & Personal Talk could help? Because interior design has always overwhelmed me, I’ve never attended IDS but I’ve always wanted to (I annually go to the Gladstone’s Come Up To My Room) so I’d love this chance to check it, and the InterCon, out.
I would love the opportunity to win this design getaway. I am currently dealing with a basement renovation from scratch. It is exciting, but overwhelming as well. I have so many ideas, but I need some expert advice in focusing on key concepts and 'classic' trends - something that will not get tired too quickly. Plus, I am a mummy of 2 that needs some TLC!

Arren Williams?! Are you kidding me? That guy is one hot design wizard. I have a canvas that could definitely use his transformative powers. My wife and I have been embarrassed to have our neighbors over due to the lackluster, style-free genre of our home. Arren could free us of our design indignities and have us hosting a wine and cheese by February.

As a stay at home mom/ interior decorator in Nova Scotia, I would love the opportunity to attend the IDS show and to meet you. I follow many designers, bloggers, tv design personalities that all hail from Toronto. It would be an absolute dream to be able to attend.

I'd love to win because I have ZERO design talent and desperately need help with it!
My husband and I are at that stage in life that are children are no longer little. We look around our house and think...what happened? I would like to think our style is eclectic but sadly I think we have completely lost our designing path! What an incredible opportunity - we always love how Arren is able to work his designing magic, turning something old into something fabulous, how he takes the new trends with textures, patterns and colours and create a completely exciting and inviting space!
We will keep our fingers crossed!
Arren is so knowledgeable about the industry and has a lovely sense of humour. We really enjoyed his interview he did at last years' show. His style is so unique...we would love to see him again!!!! We are also getting ready to possibly buy and are going to need lots of help to get our new digs sorted out. I'm sure Arren will have lots of ideas with our new space. Love his Design Lab! It is my daily dose of eye candy for the soul:)

The IDS in Toronto is a must for any design professional or enthusiast! What a treat it would be to meet Arren Williams and get his take on all the latest and greatest. And swanky hotel? Count me in!
I don't ask my husband for much. But earlier this week, I asked him to go to IDS11 with me. We are recently married and need to find a style that suits us both, and will allow us to use both of our possessions in our house. My husband doesn't ask me for much. And earlier this month, he asked if we could get away for a weekend this winter to recharge our batteries. Winning this package would give us the best of both worlds: a stay at the glorious Intercontinental Hotel & allow us to immerse ourselves in IDS11. This would be a fabulous weekend from both our perspectives!

I have been in my home for about 5 years know and have become stuck!!!!!
Even just knowing, that, I now have a opportunity to be able to get a chance to unstick my design brain, spend a weekend at The IDS in The Big Smoke and get some advice and input has me so excited!!!!!!!!
I love watching Arren on CityLine and it would be great to see him and hear about his design ideas in person. I really need help in the design area of my life and I'm sure that going there would do just the trick.
